The Power of Understanding

An author wrote, “Wisdom knows…Understanding knows why.” That statement reflects that our God-given Power of Understanding is awakened as we question. In the Revealing Word, Charles Fillmore defines wisdom as “intuitive knowing; spiritual intuition and understanding as “the ability of the mind to apprehend and realize the laws of thought and the relation of ideas to one another. The disciple Thomas taught us as he activated his Power of Understanding by asking questions and then listening to the answers from our wayshower, Jesus, the Christ. Like Thomas, the reason we get answers when we ask God is because Understanding is a reflection of God as the foundation of all that is.

To gain a deeper realization of Understanding, read Proverbs 3:5. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. The passage is

cautioning us to rely on and honor God only. It is telling us that our human “side” would rely on our ego and changeable facts to live and that would not guide us to be, do and have as God created us to be, do and have. Our God-given Power of Understanding enables us, in the midst of all situations, to know God’s Presence and to access God’s directions for our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Let the following be your affirmation today:

I boldly profess I AM Understanding knowing that God is my foundation and the foundation of everything that concerns me.
