The Gift of Life

Just as the Wise Men from the East bearing gifts of gold, frankincense,

and myrrh "rejoiced exceedingly with great joy" (Mt. 2: 10) upon finding Jesus, so we can find delight and spiritual fulfillment in finding the newborn Christ in us throughout the year.

Let us consider the divine idea of life, for the newborn Jesus symbolizes this idea. "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" (Jn. 14:6), Jesus said to His disciples toward the end of His earthly ministry. When facing a healing need in ourselves or others, let us celebrate the attribute of life as health, wholeness, vim, and vigor within us with the same jubilance as we celebrate the coming of the Christ life into our world and consciousness at Christmastime.

The gift of life as a spiritual faculty is constant and changeless. We behold

it in the newborn Jesus consciousness at Christmastime and in ourselves and

loved ones all year long. Healing is always brought forth as we celebrate life—the

Christ life within us—here and now.

Affirm: I Concentrate my thoughts on feeling vibrations of love, peace, and

cheer during the holiday season and all year. I am more considerate, polite, and

kind. I smile! I forgive and forget old hurts and past offenses as I celebrate the

birth of the Prince of Peace.

Affirm: I bring a new spirit of goodwill and understanding to my relations all

year long. I remember them, revive them, and indelibly record them in my

consciousness so that they serve me well when my lines of communication need

repair. The Life of God is my life and the life of my loved ones, friends, and

acquaintances right here and right now! And so it is! Amen.

Blanche Wilson’s UFBL Daily Inspiration involvement began as a reader-editor for the Writer’s Guild under the direction of Shirley Macklin in the late 1970s and as a contributing writer of Daily Inspirations under the direction of Rev. Whilmetta Harrell. I received better understanding and spiritual insight of the Principles of Truth for better living after enrolling in JCI receiving a Masters’ Certificate; completed Intensive Teacher Training program; became a licensed JCI teacher in 1983. Enrolled in the Ministerial Training program and completed all the written work and contact hours. Using IT WORKS IF I WORK IT strategies, I share this Truth with others to improve all our lives right here right now!
