“POWER: What We Are, What We Have”

Power! It is a concept that too often eludes the thinking of women and about women. A few years ago, I delivered a Sunday message at Christ Universal Temple in Chicago. My message was to teach Truth as it relates to Disposition, Step XI, in the Dream Series. Disposition is temperament or attitude, and our disposition is always a choice. We choose what our disposition will be at any given moment, whether the choice is the result of disciplined thinking or default thinking. Disciplined thinking is aligning with those thoughts (out of the gazillion) that float through our conscious mind that are based on Truth. Truth is the Absolute; that which accords with God as divine principle; that which eternally is. While default thinking is allowing yourself to rely on temporal facts, erroneous thoughts in your subconscious or those that come by way of your five senses.
I opened my message with the following words:
“It is through me that my dream emerges!
I am the place where my dream shows up!”
And then I asked the congregation to repeat after me:
“Like the acorn has within it all that is required to manifest the majestic Oak Tree.
I have within me all that is required to manifest my magnificent dream!”
What I was acknowledging is my/our power. My words were generated from disciplined thinking. I was not relying on temporal facts, but I was speaking based on Truth. God is the Source of our Power. For it is in our living God-based Principles that we can grow, expand, make the necessary changes to move into our greatness, and express our power. The Dream Series describes a process based on God that we can use to experience wonderful demonstrations, including expressing our power. Likewise, The GOLD Rush Women’s Conference, an annual event based on Truth, creates a community of love where women are taught processes they can use to create marvelous manifestations in their lives and to express their power.
This May issue of “Digging Deep” is about power. And we are announcing our 2025
fundraiser, the dinner event, “Legacy of Strength: 20 Years of Impact, Influence &
Transformation.” It is an awesome event being held on Sunday, September 28, from 4-8 pm, at Visions. We are excited to be joined by the fabulous entertainers, Simbryt and Michael Ross and his trio, among others. Keep on the lookout to purchase tickets and join us for a “GOLDEN Evening.”
Don’t forget to join GOLDENWordsonWednesday, on Gold Rush Women’s Conference
